# Your profile and password

> Update your details and keep your account secure.

Your account belongs to you, not to a workspace. It follows you if you join another team.

## Editing your details

Open your profile from the account menu to change your name and other details. Your name appears in project history, so colleagues can see who changed what.

## Changing your password

If you sign in with a password, you can change it from your account settings or use the reset link on the [sign-in screen](https://app.automo.build/auth).

Pick something long rather than something clever: four unrelated words beat a short string with symbols.

## Keeping your account secure

- Use a password manager and a unique password.
- Use your organisation's single sign-on if it is set up for your workspace.
- Sign out on shared devices.
- Tell your workspace owner straight away if you see activity you do not recognise.

## Leaving a workspace

When you leave a workspace, your access ends and the work you created stays in its projects. To rejoin, you will need a new invitation.
