# Signing in and setting up

> Create your account, choose a workspace and get the builder ready in a couple of minutes.

You can start building within a minute of arriving. Nothing needs to be installed.

## Create your account

Sign up at [app.automo.build](https://app.automo.build/auth) using one of the sign-in options shown there. If your team already uses Automo Build, ask them to invite you instead, so you land in the right workspace with the right permissions from your first click.

You may be asked to confirm your email address before you can do everything, including publishing.

## Name your workspace

When you first sign in, you set up a workspace. Choose a short, recognisable name, because it can appear in project links.

You can change workspace details later in [Workspace settings](/workspace/workspace-settings).

## Meet the builder

The builder is the screen where you will spend nearly all of your time. It brings together:

- **The chat**, where you describe changes.
- **The preview**, your app running as you talk about it.
- **Project tools** such as files, history and settings.
- **Publishing**, for taking the app live.

The exact layout may change as the product evolves, but those pieces are always there.

## Give the project an identity

Projects feel more real once they have their own name, icon and colours. Ask for them in the chat ("use our logo and make the main colour deep green") or set them in project settings where available.

> [!note] Check [Pricing](https://automo.build/pricing) for how many members and projects your plan includes before inviting a large team. See [Inviting your team](/collaborate/inviting-your-team).
